PARR?SIA is a Reformed Baptist Publishing house and although we do not insist that all our authors call themselves Reformed Baptist, we would not publish anything that would contradict our Confession of Faith. We exist as a not-for-profit ministry to produce Gospel-centred, God-glorifying publications.

The name PARR?SIA is the transliteration of the Greek word ????????. In the Scriptures, this word means to speak all with simplicity and boldness. Ephesians 6:19, and also for me, that words may be given to me in opening my mouth boldly to proclaim the mystery of the gospel . The absolute foundation of any publication is the Word of God and this word emphasises our desire to see the truth of the Scriptures being proclaimed in a manner that is simple and clear to the layman, and with boldness and passion to the Glory of the Most High God.

PARR?SIA was established in Autumn 2020 by Daniel Funke and John-William Noble. The discussions for a publishing house in Scotland were inspired by the discussions about releasing a new edition of The 1689 Baptist Confession of Faith to include the Scripture references. This fuelled a wider vision to establish a publishing house in Scotland that produced Biblically grounded works that were grounded in Reformed and Baptist beliefs and plans to launch an initial project via Kickstarter to fund an initial bundle project including the Confession. The project gained widespread support and reached their 52 day target of 3,000 in less than 36 hours after launching the project to the public. Following this, the campaign was marketed and featured on numerous podcast interviews and social media platforms, ultimately raising 8,899 with 207 backers.

The two men serve as pastors of Reformed Baptist Churches in Scotland and they are committed to the proclamation of the Gospel about Jesus Christ for the spiritual growth of the saints and the salvation of the lost to see Biblical churches being planted and grow in this land.
