William Jay
The Rev. William Jay (1769–1853) was an English Congregationalist divine who preached for sixty years at Argyle Chapel in Bath. As a contemporary of men like John Newton and William Wilberforce, Jay was known for the vibrant illustrations he wove into his preaching ministry. Jay was friends with and worked alongside several Particular Baptists in his day.
