Benjamin Keach
Benjamin Keach began his ministry among the General Baptists before moving to the Particular Baptists, eventually serving as pastor at Horsley Down, Southwark, London, from 1668 until his death. A prolific author and an energetic minister, he was an early advocate for congregational hymn singing among English Baptists and a tireless writer of catechetical and doctrinal works. His ministry spanned decades of Nonconformist life in Restoration England, from persecution under the Clarendon Code to the relative liberty that followed 1689.
