Before the Foundation of the World: Doctrines of God's Free Grace
“An introduction to the doctrines of grace that can be enjoyed by both the newest convert and most learned elder”
In this small book, Jeffrey T. Riddle takes us on a wonderful little journey into the depths of God’s grace and love. He introduces the doctrines of God’s free grace, showing how they are clearly presented in the Bible and have been staunchly defended throughout the 2,000 year history of the church. He shows the reader how they impact the Christian life, he deals with common questions about and challenges to them, and throughout, he points us to our glorious, gracious, merciful, faithful and unbeatable Triune God who sent his only-begotten Son to die for us whilst we were still sinners (Rom. 5:8). If you don’t already embrace the five points of Calvinism, pick up this book and do so!

The Confessional Perspective series is dedicated to doing theology for all in the church. The books within will explore the doctrines of the Christian faith from a confessional and pastoral perspective, and their aim is to provide readers with rich yet accessible content that introduces them to confessional theology. This series is committed to the Second London Baptist Confession, its contemporary application and the recovery of sound doctrine in our day for Christ’s church around the world.
We pray that you will be blessed by the truths of God’s word found within these rich resources!
Jeffrey T. Riddle, PhD, is Adjunct Professor of New Testament at International Reformed Baptist Seminary (IRBS). He has served as pastor of Christ Reformed Baptist Church in Louisa, Virginia, since 2010, blogs at jeffriddle.net and hosts Word Magazine. Jeff writes of this book “It began as a series of articles in the Evangelical Forum Newsletter. Then, it was used in a sermon series on the doctrine of salvation. It became a PDF that I would share with those who came to my church, who had also, by God’s providence, stumbled upon these doctrines and were eager to learn more about them. My prayer is that this work will prove profitable for those who read it in this revised presentation.”
